Do you offer custom or personalized orders?

I do not currently offer custom designs, but I do encourage suggestions for designs to add to my shop.

What is the size (in Mb) of the STL file?

  • Every design is different, so sizes will vary. Over 80% of Cascadia Digital items are less than 100Mb (the file size limit for Easel software).
  • The smallest are 30Mb, and the largest are 180Mb, though only a few out of the entire store are that big.
  • If you are concerned about file size, please Message me and I can tell you the exact size of the file you are interested in.

What is the size (in mm or inches) of the STL file?

  • Files are sized to be between 400-500mm on the longest edge.
  • More importantly, STL files can be scaled to any size needed once imported into your software, without sacrificing detail or quality. 500mm is only the default starting size.

How do I download the 3D model file after my purchase?

  • On your Order Confirmation page, Order Confirmation email, and from your Etsy Purchases page, you can find the Download button for the .TXT file, plus a message for instructions.
  • The .TXT file has a link to the STL 3D model download.

Why can I not download the 3D .STL file directly? Why the .TXT file?

  • Etsy only allows very small files to be uploaded on their site, which would be a very poor-quality 3D model.
  • Instead, many sellers upload a text (.txt) file which has a link to the larger 3D model download.
  • This allows us to give buyers instant access to their download, and still offer high-quality files with larger sizes.

Am I allowed to use the 3D files to create physical items commercially for profit?

  • Yes! Once purchased, you can freely manufacture and distribute any physical products made with the 3D files.

Can I share or redistribute the digital 3D files?

  • Reselling, redistributing, or sharing the digital files is prohibited without express permission.

  • The rights granted with purchase allow personal use of the digital files, and full commercial use of the physical products derived from them. You may use these files to create physical products for commercial sale or distribution.
  • These copyrighted digital files are provided for your personal, non-commercial use only. Reselling, redistributing, or sharing the digital files is prohibited without express permission. Any unauthorized copying or distribution constitutes copyright infringement.
